cook off

well i have been told its about time i hyped this up..hyped up what you ask..well its my graduation party cook out..

see in the summer of 2000 something amazing happened at my rents house...vetan cook out 2000, thier was bonfires, tents, kids, naked kids running, vegan food, air guitar, water ballons and of course the trampoline..so every summer since the thought of another cook out as been talked about..this year i decided it was tiem to have another one...here;s the plan

everyone is invited, its on May 25th, Sunday, Mamorial Day weekend, the day after my gradution. i guess my moms is having a gradtion party for my relatives and stuff but thats the weekend after..so this one will just be us kids..i think its kind of weird to have two gradution parties so our party will not be considered a graduation party and just a fun cook out..

umm it will be a potluck...not everyone is vergetarian so what ever you make doesnt have to be vegetarian but i guess that would help...ummm i woudl like to have a camp out so maybe we will do that

but being momarial day weekend thats the same weekend at lakeside family festival...so we should all meet at my house...have some good food hang out..then we can all go to the festival...then come back to my house...

Ok so Sunday May 25th..anytime around like 3 or 4pm..my rents house
25 mattapoisett rd acushnet, ma.

ok so this week has been so crazy, crazy enough for an update. Last night was Visions, thier were like a couple hundred people thier, and it was great to hear everybody laugh at Uncle Dad and Deadbeat Detective, they both went over very well, most of the other stuff shown was alright thier were a few really good short films though.

The afterparty was one of the best, i have no idea what my life is going to be like with out all my fitchburg/worcester kids, "there's no party like a wayward boys party and thiers no better friends than a waywardboy" I was so excited to be with all the kids last night, i think it was one of my favorite Fitchburg night ever!!!!

In other crazy week events, tonight I found out that Titeliest is closing thier bulding in Acushnet in 15 months, my dad works thier and i know many other people who work thier, including lots of residents of my nice little town of Acushnet, they said that everyone will be relocated to the other plants in new bedford, so i guess thats good, but i doubt they will be able to find a job for everyone, well atleast my family will have the liquor store to fall back on.

today in the mail i received a postacrd with a photo of new years eve of mine from like 6 years ago, thanks robin, that made me laugh.

Oh yes and last night i finnaly meet sister curtin, i have known about nick and alex's sister for about 4 years years, as she has known about me and eveyone has meet her but for some odd reason we have never meet till last night, ya so that was that, it was funny

thier has been lots of other crazy events but they wouldnt be all that intresting to most of you, not that any of this was all that interesting.

tonight phil and i went to see hank rollins do his thing at lupos, over 2 and 1/2 hours of hank and his intense personality. over all it was really great i was pretty excited about finnaly seeing him, but anyway i have been thinig alot about two things, well know three things,

one is well the war, i am not going to get all PC on your ass, but you know war sucks and i am against it as much as the next guy but you know, its too late now, bush is doing his thing now and no protest is going to stop his decision and also i mean saddam is pretty crazy guy and i dont think he should be in control of any country, i rather see my tax money used for other things in our own country but saddam had to be taken care of eventully and i guess i rather see george bush take care of him cause i dont think he knows how to do much else, so ya thats that...

item number thing is aboutgetting back to the classics, as of late music seems to be prety borning for mean. with ofcourse a few exceptions. 50 cent, postal service, interpol, j timberlake, etc i have ben thinking it is about time i tart to get back to the classics, i dont think i ever gave enough apreciation to such bands as the ramones, the clash, joy division, television, gang of four, etc. i use to get so caught up in new music when i worked at the radio station, and never gave time to the classics, so ya i think its time to get back to the older stuff

ohh and teh third thiig is its so weird to be pretty much done with school and its just such a great feeling to not have to worry about math classes, or any other class that has nothing to do with film production and now thats all ihave to worry about and i get to do it all day and overall that has made me a pretty happy and pretty unstressed person, which is awsome

ok why are thier reporters in the trenches of iraq with soilders asking them questions as they are shooting at emimies, this is so stupid, i hate tv reporters so much. This war is just the biggest reality TV show yet, its like who is george going to vote off the island today.

......roger that

the beastie boys song

In a world gone mad downlaod at beastieboys.com

in a world gone mad it’s hard to think right
So much violence hate and spite
Murder going on all day and night
Due time we fight the non-violent fight

Mirrors, smokescreens and lies
It’s not the politicians but their actions I despise
You and Saddam should kick it like back in the day
With the cocaine and Courvoisier<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<how hot is that?
But you build more bombs as you get more bold
As your mid-life crisis war unfolds
All you want to do is take control
Now put that axis of evil bullshit on hold
Citizen rule number 2080
Politicians are shady
So people watch your back 'cause I think they smoke crack
I don’t doubt it look at how they act

In a world gone mad it’s hard to think right
So much violence hate and spite
Murder going on all day and night
Due time we fight the non-violent fight

First the ‘War On Terror’ now war on Iraq
We’re reaching a point where we can’t turn back
Let’s lose the guns and let’s lose the bombs
And stop the corporate contributions that their built upon
Well I’ll be sleeping on your speeches ‘til I start to snore
‘Cause I won’t carry guns for an oil war
As-Salamu alaikum, wa alaikum assalam
Peace to the Middle East peace to Islam
Now don’t get us wrong ‘cause we love America
But that’s no reason to get hysterica
They’re layin’ on the syrup thick
We ain’t waffles we ain’t havin’ it

In a world gone mad it’s hard to think right
So much violence hate and spite
Murder going on all day and night
Due time we fight the non-violent fight

Now how many people must get killed?
For oil families pockets to get filled?
How many oil families get killed?
Not a damn one so what’s the deal?

It’s time to lead the way and de-escalate
Lose the weapons of mass destruction and the hate
Say ooh ah what’s the White House doin’?
Oh no! Say, what in tarnation have they got brewing??!!!!???!!
Well I’m not pro Bush and I’m not pro Saddam
We need these fools to remain calm
George Bush you’re looking like Zoolander
Trying to play tough for the camera
What am I on crazy pills? We’ve got to stop it
Get your hand out my grandma’s pocket
We need health care more than going to war
You think it’s democracy they’re fighting for?

In a world gone mad it’s hard to think right
So much violence hate and spite
Murder going on all day and night
Due time we fight the non-violent fight

ahhh so yes this weekend was pretty spectacular, yes i said spectacular. Friday night started off with some yummy gumbos then bar hoping in new bedford, ya it was pretty funny, eric nicole, brandon bob and brian, we kicked out of the first bar because we had sneakers on, then the next was filled with old irish men and finnaly the last one was alright and filled with lots of kids that i went to HS with. as the night went on several kids came up to me and were all saying hi to me and what not...but see they knew me but i had no clue who any of these kids were..oh well

saturday night was of course Start, dam, eric, nicole, david and i among the few others that we meet thier, but let me tell you, i cant belive this happened but start was amazing, lets start with the music, gang of four, missy elliot, 50 cent, lil kim, buzzcocks, le tigra, michael jackson, interpol, j timberlake, N.E.R.D. fisherspooner, naught by nature, the hives(remix). etc...ya the music was so sexual...then everytime a song came on...we would just go insane and well i guess act like jerks, but we didnt care cause well i mean what are do you expect when 50 cent, "in da club" or j timberlake "rock you body" comes on...ya so it was sick...

ya so this weekend was pretty rock solid, thier are many amazing stories, to many to put up here, but ya they are amazing...now off to a week of work...then well in 5 days thier is another weekend....HOT!

ohh and i am starting a new crew...Fashion not Bombs....who wants in...i think america should be concentrating on making it citizens dress better, instead of starting wars. imagine all the Diesal jeans we could by with just the price of one bomb...think about it.

so last night nicole and I went to see Interpol IN providence where we meet up with Mellisa Lake and Alex. So their was a overload of "dudes" at this show and some were standing right next to us. after teh first song by interpol "Dude 1" yelled out, "welcome to taxachusetts!" and then himself and "dude 2" just gave each other a very excited head-nod to each other. For starters the show was in RI so his statement didnt even make any sense second of all "dude 1" was wearing a bright red shinny shirt. thats all i am going to say on that subject.

thiers not to much else that is new..just been working like crazy at my internship and going dancing, drinking fancy drinks and thinking how warm it is in sci-mo land(cali) and sourpussmark land(aus.) dam those kids..i am going to save some snow balls to throw at you both the next time i see you

Uncle Dad, This WED!!!!!

first off, ok so wed night Uncle Dad at 106 prospect street in central square. ok prospect street is the one that cuts right thorugh central square, if you are going up mass ave(away from boston) you will take a right onto prospect at the light at central square, thier is a starbucks on the corner, then the out of the blue gallery will be on your right, its a small little bluish bulding accross from bread and circus. Its really small so be on the lookout, i believe you will pass through one set of lights on prospect street before you get to the place...its starts at 8pm..and a suggested donation of 5 dollars and free refreshmants...ok its easy to find and i really hope all the kids can show up for what is i guess the world premeire of Uncle Dad...hehehe

ok so last week eric and i snuck into the sold out blood bothers/daughters show at the upstairs middle east. friday night ladytron was playing at the paradise, i am not a huge fan of this group, i am not sure i am even a fan but the show was sold out but when eric and i figured how easy it would be to sneak in we went anyway, we saw like the last part of thier set, they were boring but did do a cover of Opps, by Tweet which i thought was amazing. so yes sneeking into sold out shows is one of my new skills, the big test will be to see if we can hang out with kelly osborne when she plays at Axis, Eric thinks that wearing high fashion will get her to notice him, i think being a jerk and drunk will work better, we will see.
